Cookie Policy
What Volwick puts on your device, and why. Every cookie it sets is listed below with its name, what it does and how long it lasts.
What this page covers
All of the cookies below are set by this site itself, not by anyone else, and the list is read off the code that sets them. None of them profiles you, follows you to another site, or is shared with or sold to a third party.
The cookies Volwick sets
Set for anyone browsing the site
- Cookie
NEXT_LOCALEWhat it doesRemembers whether you are reading the Italian or the English pages, so the choice survives the next click. How long it lastsUntil you close the browser - Cookie
vw_refWhat it doesSet only when you open a friend’s invite link. It remembers which link it was and when you first opened it, so the friend is credited if you sign up. Opening another invite link does not replace it.How long it lasts90 days - Cookie
vw_goauthWhat it doesSet only when you choose to continue with Google. It keeps that sign in safe while you are on Google’s page and is deleted when you come back. How long it lasts10 minutes
Set only once you sign up or sign in
- Cookie
pulse_sessionWhat it doesKeeps you signed in and tells the server which account is asking. It is signed, and scripts running in the page cannot read it.How long it lasts30 days - Cookie
pulse_pendingWhat it doesSet while a new sign-up is waiting for its confirmation email, so the “check your email” screen can move on by itself when you open the link on another device. It grants no access. How long it lasts24 hours
Set only on our internal console
These three are never set on a customer’s browser. They are listed because a complete list is the point of this page.
- Cookie
vw_adminWhat it doesKeeps a member of our team signed in to the internal console, and only after a second factor has been verified. How long it lasts30 minutes without activity - Cookie
vw_admin_pendingWhat it doesHolds the step between the password and the second factor on the internal console. It grants no access on its own.How long it lasts5 minutes - Cookie
vw_admin_view_asWhat it doesRemembers that a member of our team is temporarily viewing the internal console with fewer permissions than their own.How long it lasts30 minutes
Storage that is not a cookie
Two things are kept in your browser’s own storage instead, and are never sent to us with a request. In the terminal, the chart settings you chose, so the layout is still there next time. In the help widget, the reference of a ticket you opened without signing in, so you can come back to it. Clearing your site data loses the settings and that shortcut; it does not delete the ticket, which stays with our team either way.
What is not here
There is no advertising cookie, no profiling cookie, and no script from another company setting one. Apart from the invite link cookie above, which exists only if you opened a friend’s link, nothing on this site records where you came from or where you go next.
Payment
Payment happens on Stripe’s own page. Stripe sets its own cookies there, under its own policy, and Volwick never receives or stores your card details.
How to refuse or remove them
Every browser can block or delete a site’s cookies from its own settings, at any time, without asking us. One consequence is worth knowing before you do: these cookies are what being signed in is made of, so blocking them for this site means the terminal cannot keep you signed in.
Keeping this page true
The list above is kept in step with the code that sets the cookies, and a release is refused if an analytics or advertising cookie appears while this page says there is none. If one is ever added, this page is updated and a consent banner appears before that cookie is set.
